Athlete Tsubasa, who won the gold medal in the 200-meter race at the Tokyo Olympics, returned to his hometown and used his stars to assist his fellow citizens during the floods that hit the capital Gaburuni. The country witnessed heavy rains that led to road closures and disrupted daily life.
Tsubasa (21 years old) did not hesitate to use his car to tow small cars that were stranded in the water, while he witnessed assisting local residents affected by the floods. Tsubasa expressed his humility and considered American athlete Laylz, who lost to him in the final race in Tokyo, as the person most suitable to represent the sport. Tsubasa said: "I believe Laylz is the face of the sport as I am not as famous as him."
This humanitarian work by Tsubasa has been praised by many, as he offered his assistance selflessly to his fellow citizens in their time of need.
